“Do you remember...anything?” she asked. “You know, from when you were...”
“Dead?” Spike offered.
Buffy nodded.
He shook his head. “Nothing.”
“Oh.” Buffy smiled sadly. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be,” Spike said, his unfocused eyes flicking rapidly around the dimly lit crypt. “Not sure that I would though, would I?” he asked, frowning. “ Remember, that is. If old William was the one to do the moving on, stands to reason I wouldn’t remember any of it.”
His head tilted slightly, his gaze narrowing as he asked, “What about you, love? How much do you remember?”
“Too much,” Buffy replied quietly.
