As many of you know, I have been suffering from a pretty bad case of writer's block for--well, a year or two, but more so this last year. Lately I have been making myself write a little (at least 100 words) every day and am slowly getting some progress made. I chose 'Sand' to work on as it is the one with nice short chaps, so I am hoping that by the time it is complete I will be back into the swing of writing reguarly and can then start work on 'Duty'.

So, I have a few chapters written and one more half written, and am feeling reasonably confident that I can start posting on a fortnightly basis. Please don't ask me to 'hurry up and post the next chapter' or 'update soon', because it won't be happening--at the moment once a fortnight is all I feel comfortable with being able to promise. IF I manage to get more chapters up my sleeve and have a greater buffer zone then I will increase the posts to once a week, but I can't guarantee that will happen.

Anyway, I know it's been a LONG time between posts and people will probably need a refresher...so previous chapters can be found HERE.

Rating: Possibly R18+ at some stage--although that is looking less and less likely. lol  For now I would say probably PG, certainly no more than M15+ due to a bit of violence.)

Summary: Set in Season 6 somewhere around 'Life Serial' and goes very AR from there as slayer and vampire find themselves scouring dimensions. Will their search be in vain? And what will they learn along the way?

My thanks, as always, to my lovely beta [livejournal.com profile] slaymesoftly. Any mistakes are most likely a result of my post-beta tinkering.

Thanks, sweetie. I'm not posting anywhere but here, my site and the BSV nowdays, so I removed all my wip's from the other archives.

I'm glad you are still enjoying the story (despite the looooong hiatus).

Yes, it is good that Buffy is starting to notice little things like Spike's awe at being able to stand in the sun, or when she upsets him. Sometimes they are finding help along the way, but, as you said, mostly they are having to depend on each other, which is helping them to grow closer.
