Loved it! Just what I need after the other update I read yesterday...
Love the Spuffyness, how Buffy opened up to Spike, Spike wanted her to be sure, Buffy standing by Spike against her friends...
I forgot that Xander calling Sweet did cause death... Buffy is right.

Very sweet and smushy and hot and sassy in all the right places. Particularly liked Dawn and all her squeeage in this one ;)

This fic gave me SUCH a hard time... it just didn't want to be written, I struggled with it for weeks getting maybe 100 words a day done... until the day before it was due... then it just seemed to come out in a rush! lol. So I am very glad that people seem to like it.

I always loved the way that even when she was being scary!Willow she was still cute and funny about it. (well most of the time anyway! lol)

I could picture Dawn squealing excitedly at finding them together... and poor Spike's ears... and I really needed someone instantly on their side to give Buffy that little bit of a confidence boost.

I am so glad that Xander has been called to the carpet over his past behavior! God knows that it is long overdue!

I loved your Dawn! She was the Dawn I actually liked on the show! :D Her reaction to seeing the two of them together was so cute and very in character!

I love the whole story there are so many moments that I found myself agreeing with the characters or saying 'FINALLY! It's going the way it should have...' inside my head!

Well, as much as Spuffy makes me cringe, I survived this one! ;-) I liked the way you expressed the fear and hesitation they both had in getting into things/rushing things and their deep concern for each other's feelings. Dawn's barging in scene was also cute - and I was glad to see the acknowledgement that Xander's part in Sweet's summoning wasn't just a laughing matter. Well done!

Xander was never called to task on ANYTHING on that show... and there as so many times that he should have been... that was just one of them. It has always annoyed me that he was the first to lay blame, and yet he naver accepted responsibility for HIS actions, he was such a hypocrite!!!

I don't do fluff well... and the girl I was writing it for wanted angst and fluff... so Dawn was my comic relief. lol. I am glad it worked.

Well, you stomached my Bangel so I thought I'd try the same! Although, I'll admit, just as you said you wouldn't be able to handle a B/A smut!fic, I skipped the smutty scene in yours - I'm sure it was great but I don't think I could have handled it. The rest was well-written though!

And I think I'm more of a Xander fan than you are, but I absolutely agree that he was quick to lay the blame and rarely got it back when deserved. He probably would have been a much more sympathetic character if he'd had to face up to his actions more often.

That's ok... I can understand that! And thank you... I am glad you thought it was well written... I am still not 100% happy with it... but it was such a struggle just to get it done... **sigh** oh well... people seem to like it so I guess it must be ok.

I DO feel rather guilty tho... as it was a smutathon fic... and of the nearly 6300 words I think only about 800 were actually smut. lol. Damn that bloody plot!!

I finally got time to read this wonderful story and I adored it. I loved that Spike wanted to makes sure that Buffy was sure, that she opened so much to him, that she realized that he hadd helped them so much, even when there wasn't anything in it for him, how she stood up to her friends and how sweet and loving she acted toward him, always touching him or kissing him in any way she could. You made me laugh so hard when Dawn woke them up with her squealing and with this part: "Xander sagged, defeated. “But it’s Spike!” “I know, sweetie,” Willow comforted him, “but, hey, could be worse. It could be Angel again.”*lol* So, so true. ;)
This story warmed my heart and I thank you for sharing it with us.
