First Dreamwidth post

Okay, so I have a Dreamwidth account alwaysjbj.

I'm still a little unsure of how this whole subscription/circle thing works, but I'll poke a round a bit and suss it out. I haven't decided whether I want to import my LJ or not, I think (for now at least) I'm leaning towards not.

I really like the automatic crosspost feature, so it's possible that I may start using Dreamwidth as my main journal and letting it crosspost to LJ, not sure about that yet either. I got a paid account for a year, working on the theory that a year is plenty of time to decide if I like it or not, and how much of the fandom decides to migrate over--we'll see. In the meantime I'm just going to have a look around and take my time settling in.

I'm assuming I will be given invite codes, so if there is anyone left who doesn't already have one and would like one, just let me know and when I get some I'll pass them on.

Ah...that's an OpenID account, I had one of those and then they sent me an invite code to make a real account (you can read, comment ect with an OpenId but not have an actual journal), I assumed that wen I upgraded to a real account the OpenID one would just change to a full account, but it doesn't, you have to start again. lol

But you should have an invite code for a real account in your email, they sent one to all OpenId accounts.

ETA: Ignore me, I'm not really awake yet--you did mention that they had sent you an invite code, didn't you? lol *head desk*
