Awe, Joyce is accepting Buffy and Spike.. and Magic, Vampires and coming Apocalypses. A lot for her to take. And Ethan is the one that balance (I don't find the word I'm looking for) between Joyce, Giles and Buffy here. Good that Xander came to his senses too. Good chapter :)
