Consequences.

He didn’t trust magic. Knew deep in his marrow it was a bad idea, there were always consequences; he should look for another way.

When he looked at her, it didn’t matter. Consequences be damned. All that mattered was making her well, restoring the vitality that had been missing for so long.

That’s why he’d come here. Now he’d found the way, he couldn’t let his misgivings stop him.

Still, as he prepared the ritual, a chill ran tingling down his spine and he couldn’t help but feel that the price might be more than he was willing to pay.

Interesting take on that moment with Spike...makes me think of what he said in Afterlife...all magic has a price...*nods* I've always thought those two moments were connected. Excellent drabble, hun!
