Into the fire.

He remembers it like it was yesterday rather than the twenty-odd years it had actually been since that fateful day.

Ethan had been alone. Sitting in the shadows of a rather less-than-upstanding little London establishment, nursing his latest set of bruises and guarding closely the last few quid he had left to his name. The last thing he had expected was the exquisite enigma that had walked through the door.

The boy had entered and the horde of London’s debris that haunted the grubby little pub had parted unquestioningly before him. Not one of the low-lifes had so much as questioned the fact that the fresh-faced young man who was making his way so cockily amongst them had the right to do so. One glance at the cold, hard flint of boy’s eyes, at the lean, muscular body that moved with lethal grace and the thrill of dread that coursed along their spines as the newcomer approached and even the vilest of the room’s occupants made haste to remove themselves from his path.

Danger and the power preceded this man and Ethan had found himself drawn against his better judgment from the security of his darkened little nook. Drawn irrevocably like the moth to the proverbial flame.

Congrats on the progress. Hmmmm, as for mine I want your opinion on something. I chose William (no couple designated). Do you thyink it would be better to start with one idea/world like yours or just have them be completly random... if i do a more focused thing I was thinking about haveing Spike (even though thats not my character) fall asleep in the first one 'dream' and have him dream baout his past, but then the dreams could get crazy... involve people from the present (BTVS characters) and then in the last one i could have him wake up. Is that lame? or stupid? ARRRRRRGGGGG. I suck at this.

It's not lame... in fact it is a really cool idea... I'd just run it by the mods first to make sure it is ok... but I don't imagine they would have a problem with it.

And the only reason I set mine all in one world is I already had that world (Days of Blood and Wine)... so it made it easier for me... and I'm all about making my life easier if I can! lol.

Oh, I love seeing people's takes on Ethan/Ripper's first meeting. I really think you captured what I'd think Ethan would see in Giles from the start.

Thanks... I am glad you liked it. And I'm not sure but I think I possibly have a different take on them than is the norm... usually I see fics where Ethan was the 'corrupter' I just don't see things that way. lol.

LOL... yeah it's a 'thing' an insanity thing! I joined up for the joss100 challenge which means I has to write 100 drabbles/ficlets for my chosen characters using the Prompts (http://www.bringonthebloodshed.com/axisoflove/Joss_100/joss100prompts.html) table supplied.

Actually it is a lot of fun... and, I feel, a perfectly valid excuse for not having done any work on my wip's or the fics I have to write for fall_for_spike... right?
