Ethan! Well that was unexpected, thought it was Angelus playing kick the watcher. Love how Spike layed down the ground rules on Buffy. Good chapter. Thanks for the good read!

Thanks for the review! I am glad you liked it. And Ethan was meant to be a surprise! I have dropped a few tiny hints along the way... and a couple of people picked up on them.. but not many, which is good... cause it would have ruined my surprise! LOL

Yes Spike really needed to lay down some ground rules with her... she couldn't be allowed to keep using him as a whipping boy... and it was important that it be HER decision to continue the relationship... as an actual relationship.

Buffy is a real firecracker ... but she is in fear.
Oh it's Ethan torturing Giles? I didn't think of that turn.
Loved that line: now was probably not the time to be getting the slayer all hot; regretfully, he turned the sex-appeal down a notch or two.
I love worried Spike.. and I'm glad that Buffy decided to take him - and not to back off again.
Giles/Ripper. I wonder what happened in the past. Giles run away because he killed someone? At last it seems Ethan is willing to help Giles. I just don't know how far he'll go to help him.

AHA! I've figured out how to sneak in fic-reading time: forget it's Friday and that the library closes at 5:00 and tell someone to pick me up at 6:00! ;) Just read the latest three chapters -- steamy goodness there, eh? I'm digging how the rest of the Scoobies are out of this -- does that make me a terrible person? LOL

Looking forward to the next installment, and sorry it took me so long to find the time to read!

Wonderful chapter. That was a great twist to have Giles’ kidnapper Ethan instead of Angelus and the reason why. I am looking forward to more.

Spike is just adorable worrying about Buffy.
