First Dreamwidth post

Okay, so I have a Dreamwidth account alwaysjbj.

I'm still a little unsure of how this whole subscription/circle thing works, but I'll poke a round a bit and suss it out. I haven't decided whether I want to import my LJ or not, I think (for now at least) I'm leaning towards not.

I really like the automatic crosspost feature, so it's possible that I may start using Dreamwidth as my main journal and letting it crosspost to LJ, not sure about that yet either. I got a paid account for a year, working on the theory that a year is plenty of time to decide if I like it or not, and how much of the fandom decides to migrate over--we'll see. In the meantime I'm just going to have a look around and take my time settling in.

I'm assuming I will be given invite codes, so if there is anyone left who doesn't already have one and would like one, just let me know and when I get some I'll pass them on.

Yeah, I figured if in a year's time it has dies a miserable death like GJ and IJ then it's no great loss...but if in a year everyone has migrated over to there (as many have suggested they are going to) then at least I'll have my name secured.
