1 Why do you write fanfic?
It started with the need to get a particularly vivid dream down on 'paper' before I forgot it, but now I write (when I actually get time to write) because I enjoy it.

2 When did you write your first fanfic and which fandom was it for?
2004 Buffy

3 Which fandoms do you, or have you, written for?
Buffyverse (which includes AtS)

4 Do you read much fanfic or do you mainly write?
Lately, with moderating and judging etc, I probably read a lot more than I write.

5 What comes easiest for you when writing?
(dialogue, descriptions, plot, characterizations, humour, angst...)

Probably the dialogue. And dialogue is wonderful for helping you move a story forward--I find that when I'm stuck (which happens far too often lately), if I can 'hear' the next line of dialogue it will often spark a whole scene, or at least help get me past the current roadblock.

6 Which genres do you mainly write? (action, angst, dark, drama, horror, humour...)
I'm not sure. A little bit of all of the above, I think.

7 Which genres will you not write?
All human.

8 Are reader comments/responses important?
Reader responses are nice, especially the in depth ones--it's lovely to know a person's thoughts/feelings about a story, but they rarely have an effect on my writing. If I am already struggling with the writing process (which, again, has been an ongoing problem for a while now), 'update soon' or 'hurry up and update' type reviews will often grind any progress I may have been making to a complete stop. *sigh*

9 Do you use a beta reader?
YES! Definitely. And I also have some wonderful friends who make great sounding boards for bouncing ideas off.

10 Which is your favourite character to write fanfic for and why?
Probably Spike, but I enjoy writing most of the BtVS characters.

11 Which are your favourite ships (including friendships) that you write the most?
Pairings: Spike/Buffy, Giles/Ethan, Giles/Anya, Wesley/Faith, Xander/Faith. Friendship: Giles & Spike, Spike & Joyce, Spike & Tara... And again, I enjoy writing most of the characters, so I guess I write most of the friendships that occured on the show.

12 Do you have characters that are so strongly established that they're in your heads?
When things are going well...yeah!

13 Which characters are you most comfortable doing a POV for? Which is the hardest?
Probably Spike or Buffy are the ones I'm most comfortable with. Hardest? Hmmm... Angel, probably, or any of the AtS characters because I didn't watch it very often.
