Like many others, I decided to keep track...

1. The Grey King by Susan Cooper
2. Silver on the Tree by Susan Cooper
3. Dragonheart by Todd McCaffrey
4. Devil's Brood by Sharon Penman (currently reading)

What did you think of Dragonheart? I loved the early Pern books but felt they lost their appeal in the later stories. I am intrigued as to how the new McCaffrey deals with it!

It was okay, but not as good as his mum's...or even as good as his previous books.

I liked the characters, and his writing is fine, I guess the plot line just felt a little like he was rehashing old ideas.

I've always been a bookworm, but since I discovered fanfic I have read less and less 'real' books...which, considering the number of books I used to read, has saved me a fortune lol.

This year I am going to try for a nice balance between real books and fanfic.

Oooh, I should probably do this. I have my own thing that I want to read at least 50 books this year. At the rate I'm going, it doesn't look likely =D You're way ahead of me. Mind if I borrow your idea??

I think the Penman is going to take me quite some time... between wedding preparations and a 17 year old who wants attention, I don't get a lot of reading time and it is rather large. LOL
