I saw this a few years ago (I may have watched the Comedy Festival on TV). However whenever I hear the Oz anthem now I always think this would be a much better version. Most anthems sound like funeral dirges.

I actually have always liked Advance Australia Fair (well, the words at least--yes, even girt), but the tune is definitely boring--this is a HUGE improvement. lol

Bwaha.. no Aussie here but it's definitely funny. And I totally agree, most anthems need a little spicing up.

I mean... hearing the German one makes you wanna crawl into a corner and weep like a girl :P

Hi. I just found your LJ from enigmaticblues comments and thought I'd have a look and check your LJ out as your fic is great and you beta some of my favourites too. Found this. Really should not drink tea at the PC - nearly killed the keyboard. I wish someone would do something similar for the Irish anthem.

I fell in love with Adam Hill after seeing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQxtmRCtPkA&feature=related on Mock The Week (topical British comedy quiz) where he managed to be funny and dignified in the face of much silly nosiness about his foot (starts about 2.20 into the clip). He's cool!
