Buffyverse Spreading the Love meme

Okay, here goes... Having pondered the suggestions that my very clever f’list came up with, I present to you the Buffyverse Spreading the Love meme. (Yeah, lame name, I know…but I've never made a meme before, and it was all I could think of!)

Copy this post into your journal (making sure to allow anonymous comments), people will then comment ANONYMOUSLY with the name of someone on their f’list that they think others might enjoy reading... be it for their interesting meta posts, fabulous art-work, wonderful stories or just because they are an interesting person who they think others might benefit from knowing. (You can give the reasons WHY you think we should read this person's journal, or just post their name--whichever you feel more comfortable with.) It's probably best not to pick someone whose entire journal is locked because there wouldn't be any point if there weren't any public posts for people to read.

Other members of your f’list then copy this into their journal giving you the chance to continue spreading the love by recommending people to them!

Rules:

* Make sure your recs are done anonymously; this is to reduce any potential hurt feelings for other members of your f’list.

* Rec BtVS or AtS people only please. I am sure we all have fabulous people on our f’lists who are heavily into Firefly, or Lost or some other fandom, but this is all about getting members of the Buffyverse fandom in touch with each other.

* If you want to rec more than one person, that’s great, but please do each person in a separate anonymous comment.

Also, teragramm came up with the idea of a community for Buffyverse fans to get in touch with each other. Somewhere where we all agree to friend the other members of the community for at least x amount of time. I'm not sure how we'd go about working that, but if anyone can figure out how to make it work it would be a great way for fans to get in touch.

Am I first? Cool!

angelspike69 is great - she's normally very active and is a wonderful resource for solid romantic Spike/Angel fic and fanart. She has and art journal as well that is linked to from this journal... and she runs several comms that are mostly Angel-centric. Basically? She kicks ass.

azraelz_angel writes amazing Buffy fanfic. She does some crossovers and standalones, some of basically everything. :)

lisaroquin is great for crossovers, slash and het both as well. Her LJ is f-locked now, but it's easy to get friended. Just to let you know, she has a lot of WIPs that she works on, which is mostly what's in her LJ.

She specializes in fanged four stories, many of them hilarious, and does the best Drusilla voice I've ever heard. She does have an LJ, but sadly hasn't kept it active, and I'd love to see more fans get treated to her tales.

girlpire writes brilliant stories with various pairings and styles, most including Angel.

only_passenger writes a variety of pairings and does a beautiful job with all of them. I'll be frank and say that some of her work gets a bit dark for me, but the Spuffy stories "Schooled" and "Riding the Clutch" are excellent. Also s/b/a "A Thing with Vampires" is a must-read.

eliade is the best Xander/Spike writer out there. She doesn't seem to be writing anymore, her last fic was a missing scene in Conversation with Dead People where Xander meets The First and it was the best version I ever read.
