Showtime

Booted feet fell silently on the hard ground as he moved, accomplishing his task with the ease and efficiency of practice. His gaze fell on the large bed, lingering for a moment as he gritted his teeth against both the images that flooded his mind, and the muffled sounds that floated down from above. Shaking it off, he carefully placed the last egg before pulling the slip of paper from his pocket and reading the incantation to break the stasis spell that had been placed on them.

“Showtime,” he muttered quietly as he slipped silently back out into the tunnels.

Yes, this makes sense. No way would Spike hide dangerous eggs where Buffy often just dropped in for a quicky. Either they weren't dangerous or someone (Riley only comes to mind) planted them there. Buffy should have seen the truth easily.

I don't think Spike would have had dangerous eggs there either... although, unlike in this drabble, I think he probably DID know he had them, but I'd say he had no idea how dangerous they were and was just trying to make some quick money for Buffy. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he had been set up by Riley.

That is my belief too! As for the name "the doctor", he'd never use that after his experience withDoc!

It was clearly a set up meant to destroy the relationship with Buffy. Riley DID promise to prevent Spike having a chance with her.


ITA Spike knew about the eggs but doubt he know the were dangerous. I even doubt the species they were....Buffy only took Riley's word for all of it. And why did the mamma Suvolte not seem to kill anyone in Sunnydale (and on the way there) if they were such voracious killers???? Bogus from start to end.

LOL...yep...and how did those weird little crawly things that hatched grow into Suvolte demons anyway? They looked NOTHING like the demon that Buffy killed. I'm totally onboard with the conspiracy theory...wouldn't even be surprised if Sam wasn't really his wife.
