Liberty

Hooves fly in a soft swish, floating above the sawdust as he dances; muscles ripple as he props and pirouettes, and cascades of silver and black silk float in an ethereal cloud around him.

The sigh of collective breath, held in awe, the pounding of hearts and the pulsing rhythm of the music mingle—echoing around the stadium. Grey neck arches proudly and nostrils flare as he strikes a pose, holding motionless for a moment—beauty, grace and elegance—before whirling once more to resume his dance. The untameable power of the south wind; called forth, harnessed, and given form.

LOL...sorry... I don't have any King of Swing icons...so I had to make do with Sadi! *shhh, don't tell him I said that!!*

There is, IMHO, nothing like the liberty class at an Arabian horse show... especially when it is a stallion in the ring. They are magnificent, and they know it! lol

LOL...it was about my friend's colt... he hasn't been shown yet but he is gorgeous and would do so well... was hoping this would inspire her...

What sort of horse/s do you have?

A 7 year old Connemara pony (on loan) - who is dappled grey, with silver main and tail. As I have known him since birth I have seen him in all his moods - now - he enjoys "taking life as he comes" - so he can be lazy - but, he very rarely spooks at anything - and we all LOVE him!!

He sounds lovely. Connemara ponies are lovely.

LOL... my daughter's arabian pony Lad is much the same personality wise... he likes to take life easy, is VERY quite lazy but he doesn't spook (not under saddle anyway) and I know he will always take good care of her. He used to be dappled...now he's just grey.

I can see my boy doing liberty class perfectly (to Wild in the Streets of course). He would be magnificent. Then I see him coming out of the ring and taking a bite out of me. LOL
