Yes, killing Dru was a VERY big mistake! Five against one is pretty big odds... but five lowly minions against a master vampire, particularly one who has killed two slayers? Not so bad. LOL.
Hmmm... your thoughts on Dru's prophecy are very interesting! In this particular case she was talking about him rising above his grief and continuing on to start a new life... but yes, it definitely could have been interpreted that way.
