Saying my piece and leaving it at that.

As many of you probably already know, Selene and I had the unhappy task of disqualifying a fic at good__evil yesterday. I said in my post on there that I would not be entering into a debate about it and I am not, however as I had suspected they would be, accusations that this is a 'personal issue' are being touted around.

The truth of the matter is that if it had been one of the other authors that I had suspected was cheating I would actually have acted sooner.... I wouldn't have waited for an official complaint. The 'Personal issues' and 'history' I have with the authors in question is what stayed my hand, as I KNEW that if I said anything it would be blamed on said issues.

Ultimately, people will believe what they want to believe, and that is fine.... I'm not asking anyone to choose sides and while I am leaving the comments section open I would like to reiterate that I do NOT want to turn this into either a debate or a public lynching. As far as I am concerned the matter is over and done. I have been in communication with one of the authors, there are no hard feeling of any sort from either of us, and she assures me that she understands why I had to act on the information available to me. Quite honestly I am sick of the ongoing kerfuffles, so if you do comment here, that is fine but I won't be responding or continuing the 'drama'.

It still amazes me that people are so ready to swallow the line about this being the result of personal issues between you and whoever. You are just one of the good__evil mods. What, do they think Selene would just let you hurt the community because of some private feud? That if this was completely unfounded she wouldn't tell you to do your "slandering" in your private lj instead of the place she co-moderates? She hasn't been involved in any of the shit that went down before, so why would she allow you to drag her into it now? That just makes no sense, and I think it is really sad that most people seem to overlook that this was a situation where you COULDN'T have based your reaction purely on personal opinion.

Hi. I'm sorry to butt in on your personal journal, but I had a question about good__bad and couldn't quite figure out where else to ask (nothing about any kerfuffle, I promise!). I run ficathon_codex, which is a group that archives masterlists of AtS/BtVS ficathons. I noticed that good__bad hosted a drabblethon in January, and I wanted to link to either a masterlist if you had one or the month of January in the group calendar. However, something very odd is happening. When I go into your calendar page and try to skip to January, my Internet freezes then crashes. It's done this at least ten times now, and it's only doing it on that one page, nothing else. Is it possible there's a problem with that particular page (maybe an image or something)?

Hi. I don't know if I'd call it a drabble-a-thon LOL. We just have a dif character each month, except that this year we decided to do a warm up for the year by having a drabble month...there was no masterlist of who had to write what just a different character listed for each day and you wrote drabbles for whichever ones you wanted (some people wrote for every character). We accepted new and old drabbles (and they didn't have to be 'true drabbles').

Anyway, the best thing I can suggest if you want to link to them is to link to the 'drabble' tag... I still have quite a lot of drabbles left to tag though, so they won't all show up at the moment.
