The way to a woman's heart...

“That smells delicious,” she announced, “it’s really very lovely of you to cook for me. I don’t think anyone has ever cooked for me before, except maybe my mother, but that was such a long time ago and..."

“Wine, my dear?” Giles interrupted, handing her a glass, his eyes sparkling and his mouth twitching in barely contained mirth. Her happy rambling lightened his heart, gently erasing a little more of the years’ accumulated weariness with each passing day.

 

“It’s an old family recipe, one that I thought you might appreciate. Rabbit parmesan.” Her dazzling smile was reward enough—for now.

that was great, I could imagine a scene like that for real, I would have loved to see some Ganya on the show, I always thought they would have been good for each other, ah well as least we have the tabula rasa kiss :D

I plan to be writing more fics and drabbles in the 'Hearts Breaking Even' verse.... muse willing I will get the next fic installment finished before the end of the month.

Thanks! I am having a lot of fun writing the Ganya... and am looking forward to doing more. I predict a lot of drabbles in this verse... as I am really enjoying the brief little glimpses into their lives. Although there definitely will be more ficlets as well!

It's a Family legand that on the day my father was born his grandfather fried 17 rabbits to feed the gathering of extended friends and family. My Grandmother said she was planning to name him Harry Albert no matter what was on the menu.

An evil bunny boiler?? I like the sound of that! lol. Can I do that to some of the evil plot!bunnies I have sitting in my aptly named 'evil bunnies' folder?... cause I am sure life would be sooo much easier if I did!

Damn that typo fairy! Yep bunny boiler. I think the phrase was originally a Fatal Attraction reference alluding to the Glenn Close character, so hopefully not in that sense, but those plot bunnies definitely need keeping under control. On second thoughts let them free to multiply. More alwaysjbj can't be a bad thing.

You've definitely given me the urge to dig out Local Hero, though I think that was billed as casserole du lapin.

Ah... I see!... not being able to stand Glenn Close I have never seen Fatal Attraction.

And no!!... bunnies are definitely EVIL (see icon for proof!)... I have WAY too many wips as it is! Although I am happy to send all future bunnies to you if you would like to give them homes?!

Darn you! I'll stick with two sort of WIPs (not sure if the Ganya fics count as it's more sort of a series of vignettes than one story). I really can't do more than one fic at once as I discovered when trying to write TC and Grosse Pointe Buff at the same time. I have real issues with switching mindsets and end up neglecting one or both.

However, when and if the SWBD series reaches its conclusion I might adopt one or two of the little fluffers.
