“I don’t understand.”

“There’s a surprise.” Spike rolled his eyes. “Alright, I’ll bite... what don’t you understand?”

“Why you say the things you do. You’re my Blondie Bear and I love you, but you say these things, and you think I don’t understand, but I do...And...and you’re just mean!” She sniffed, turning away from him and wiping her eyes.

Spike frowned. He was mean? He was the Big Bad, and proud of it... but mean?

“Look, Harm. Once we’re done here, I’ll take you somewhere nice. Just you and me.”

“You promise?”

“I promise.”

Poor Harm, IMHO Spike loved her for 24 hours then she became the one-night-stand-that-wouldn't-leave. But I really can't blame the girl I'd hang on for dear un-life too.

I'm not sure that he ever felt anything more than lust for her, but I agree that she was probably meant to be a one night stand, she just didn't (wouldn't) get the message.

Harmony has the distinction of being the only woman Spike never held in any regard. That he wasn't going to eat. Or...well, you know what I mean. I do wonder how he felt about Darla. We don't really know, though there is wonderful fic to fill in the blanks. Anyway: fun!

I would probably feel sorry for Harmony, if she wasn't such a nasty little cow in the early seasons. I think that in some ways, the way Spike treated her was a case of 'what goes round, comes round'.

Poor Harmony. That was a huge one-sided relationship, but I don't know if I could've put up with her 24/7, so I guess I can't say that I really blame Spike all that much.
