Note: I don't think I ever noticed any dedication plaque on the library, so I am taking the liberty...




He’d funded the school’s library, naming it after himself, well, his father as far as everyone else was concerned.

Education was important; children needed education. And reading was the cornerstone of education.

He’d paid good money—out of his own pocket too, mind you—to ensure it was well-stocked. All the classics were present. And a good reference section. Children couldn’t be expected to turn in A-grade work using B-grade material. No siree… not in his library… only the very best graced the shelves of the Sunnydale High School, Richard Wilkins II Memorial Library.

And a beautiful library it was. He looked around him—realisation coming just as his world exploded in a blinding flash of colour.

"Well, gosh…"
